CREATED BY DESIGNER KRISTINA BOBKOVA IN KYIV IN 2000

TIMELINE

In 2009, the brand's collection won the L'Officiel France competition and the designer received a grant to study at the Instituto Marangoni (Paris).

Since 2010, the BOBKOVA brand entered theinternational market with sales in the USA, and became a regularparticipant in international exhibitions: Fashion Coterie (New York), WHITEShow (Milan), MODE (Shanghai), Pitti Uomo (Milan). Brand also held showrooms andshows during fashion weeks in Paris, Berlin, Kyiv, New York, Milan, Katowice.

In 2021, Kristina Bobkova (BOBKOVA brand)became the best designer of women's clothing - according to the Best FashionAwards (the most prestigious fashion nomination in Ukraine).

Since 2022, the brand has become a regularparticipant in Berlin Fashion Week Showroom and BOBKOVA production is located on Vozdvizhenka - the historical center of Kyiv - 90% of allproducts are made here. In addition, we cooperate with enterprises outsourcedin the Kyiv region and Western Ukraine, with suppliers in Italy and Germany

Brand Philosophy

The basis of the BOBKOVA brand philosophy is GENTLEWOMEN, Japanese MasterCut, Confident Femininity.

The brand offers its idea of casual wear. The designer creates "things that are relevant regardless of the time andsituation," "difficult things that are easy to wear."

TheJapanese discipline of cut distinguishes iconic things ofthe brand. Asymmetrical dress is a rethought men's shirt. The trouserssuit incorporates details inspired by Eastern clothing. The brand redefinesgender stereotypes in clothing, creating pieces that encourage expressingstrength and femininity.

Brand goal and mission

The main role of BOBKOVA lies in the social and cultural aspects. We stand for equality in all its manifestations, blurring gender bonders. Femininity, strength, grace, and aesthetics are our criteria for fashion and beauty. We broadcast optimism; careful attitude to people and space; and the idea of complete freedom in what we do, without fear of going beyond the standard and ordinary in favor of things that bring us joy.

Recycling is an important part of our work. We recycle raw materials or products using manual labor and taking care of the environment. As a Ukrainian brand, we study, preserve, and rethink the traditions of our country in our collections and convey our view of Ukrainian culture to the whole world through the collections.

Background & inspiration

Kristina Bobkova

Kristina Bobkova graduated from Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, as well as the University of Marangoni with a degree in fashion design. The first student collection was created at the age of 17, and in 1998, was the debut of a professional collection, which opened the Ukrainian Fashion Week, after which Kristina got into the top 5 of the best Ukrainian designers.

For many years she worked with television shows as a designer and stylist of Ukrainian stars of show business, sports, theater, and television, as well as a costume designer in cinema.

The brand is based on the designer's elegant minimalism, Japanese cut, love for high quality, and manufacturability. Inspiration comes from creative journeys; exploring the culture of one's own country and the everyday life of other nations; the tranquility of remote and secluded places on the planet; museums and exhibitions of contemporary art; books, films, architecture, and vintage markets. One of the key elements in the creation of a collection is the designer's admiration for strong, creative women who are changing the world for the better.
