Consistently opposes the participation of Russians in international competitions, as she herself nearly became a victim of Russian terrorists. In April 2023, Liudmyla Luzan participated in the Ukrainian Canoe and Kayak Cup held in Uman. She was only 300 meters away from the impact of a Russian missile during yet another Russian missile attack.

The proceeds from the sales are donated to the development of Paralympic sports.
